Universal Legacy
World Heritage Site is a title granted by UNESCO to places containing "cultural or natural heritage considered to be of outstanding value to humanity", and which therefore deserve to be recognised and protected.
This initiative was created in 1972 and is backed today by almost 200 countries, including Spain. Andalusia boasts many of these sites, and also intangible assets that are based on tradition.
